Bhavani Stores

Bhavani Stores has been sitting here on Rajajinagar 9th Main for quite some time now. Our place is at 345/14, which isn't the biggest building on the block, but it does the job for us. Most days start the same way with the sound of the metal shutters going up early in the morning before the traffic really gets moving. It is a bit of a routine, checking what came in and what needs to be put out on the front counters. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just a few of us making sure the bags of rice and dal are stacked right. Sometimes the shop feels a bit small when we get a big shipment in, and we have to shuffle boxes around the 345/14 floor space just to make a path. The neighborhood around 9th Main is usually pretty lively, and we see the same faces every day. It’s mostly just about keeping the place tidy and making sure we have what people are looking for. There is a specific smell of spices and tea leaves that kind of sticks to the walls here. We don't really have a grand plan; we just show up and open the doors. It is hard work sometimes, especially when the weather gets hot and the fans don't quite reach every corner of the store. We are just a regular part of the street.
