We’ve got our shop set up at 204/205 Arekere, right on the 11th main of Bannerghatta Road. We are directly opposite the HSBC building, which makes it easy for people to find us even with all the construction going on around here. It’s a heavy-duty kind of place. We deal with steel bars and bags of cement all day long. The floor is usually covered in a fine layer of grey dust, and there’s always the sound of metal clanging as we load up the delivery trucks. It’s a family-run kind of vibe, and we’ve been here since this part of the road was a lot quieter than it is now. We don't have a fancy showroom; it’s mostly just stacks of materials and a small desk where we handle the bills. People come in looking for stuff to fix their houses or for bigger building projects. We spend a lot of time on the phone checking prices and talking to suppliers. The traffic on Bannerghatta Road is a constant noise in the background, but we hardly notice it anymore. We keep some cold water in the back for the loaders because it gets incredibly hot in the afternoons. It’s honest work, moving heavy stuff from one place to another, and we’ve been doing it long enough that we know most of the contractors in the area by name. We just keep the supplies moving out.
