Bharath Furniture Works

Bharath Furniture Works has its shop at 200/1 Lalbagh Road. We are tucked away right behind the ICICI Bank. It can be a little hard to find if you aren't looking for us, but once you go behind the bank, we are right there. We work with wood and make different kinds of furniture. The shop is usually dusty because of all the sawing and sanding we do. We have been at this location for a good number of years. It’s a lot of manual labor. We don't use big machines for everything; a lot of it is done by hand. We aren't a big showroom with bright lights. It’s a workshop where real work happens. People come to us when they need a table or a cupboard fixed or made from scratch. We listen to what they want and try to build it. Sometimes the wood takes longer to arrive than we expect. We just deal with those things as they come. Being on Lalbagh Road means it’s always noisy outside, but we get used to it. Bharath Furniture Works is just a place where we build things. We don't have a fancy sales team. You just talk to the people making the furniture. We stay busy with the orders we have and don't worry about much else. It is a simple, honest way to make a living and we take pride in the items we finish.
