Gandhi Nagar is where we are, right across from the Corporation High School. It gets pretty loud here when the kids come out for break or when school ends in the afternoon. We spend most of our time working on cages. It is a specific kind of work that takes up the whole day. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a place where things get made. Sometimes the dust from the street comes in, and we have to sweep it out every morning before we start. We’ve been at this spot for a bit now. People usually find us because they see the school first and then look across the road. It’s a busy part of the city. You see all kinds of traffic passing by, from cycles to big trucks. Inside the shop, there are tools scattered around and pieces of wire or metal depending on what we are doing that week. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle the materials. If you come by, you’ll likely hear the sound of metal clicking or someone shouting over the noise of the traffic. It’s just how things go here. We don't spend much time on the computer or doing paperwork because the physical work keeps us on our feet. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it hasn't been a priority. We just focus on finishing what’s in front of us.
