Wood Life Furnitures

We have been working out of the Jayappa Reddy Building for quite some time now. You can find us on 11th Main Road, right near the Banshankari Theater on Begur Road. My name is Murali, and I run this shop along with a couple of guys from the neighborhood. It is not a big, fancy showroom like you see in the malls. It is a real workshop where the floor is usually covered in sawdust and the smell of cut timber is always in the air. We spend our days measuring wood, cutting it to size, and putting together chairs, tables, and cupboards. Sometimes the traffic on Begur Road gets really loud, but we just keep working through it. We use regular hand tools and a few old machines that have been with us since we started. It is hard work, and our hands are always rough, but it feels good to make something solid that people can actually use in their homes. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything. Most people just walk in because they saw our sign near the theater or a neighbor told them about us. Sometimes we run behind on orders if the wood delivery is late or if the weather is too damp for the polish to dry properly. We just tell people the truth about how long it will take. It is just a simple, local business trying to do things the right way without any unnecessary fuss or noise daily.
