Bangalore Egg Centre

Our shop, Bangalore Egg Centre, is tucked away in the Meccai Complex over in Azad Nagar. We are right in the Ramachandra Puram area, which is quite close to the main Mysore Road. It is a busy spot, and there is always something going on with the other shops nearby. We have been dealing with eggs for a long time now. Every morning, the trucks come in early and we start unloading the crates. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and moving stacks of trays around the small space we have. The floor usually has a bit of straw and dust on it from the crates, but that is just the way an egg shop is. We sell to the local grocery stores and also to people living in the neighborhood who just want a dozen for their kitchen. It’s a simple business without any fancy displays. We just have stacks of white and brown eggs everywhere you look. Sometimes a few eggs break during the move, and we have to clean that up fast. The heat can be a bit much in the afternoons, so we keep the ceiling fans going as fast as they can go. We know the other guys working in the Meccai Complex and often share a meal or a tea when things are slow. We don't do anything other than eggs. It is a straightforward life, and we are happy to be part of the Azad Nagar community.
