Balaji Wire House

We are based in Jamuna Tower, which is right on Bvk Iyengar Road in Chickpete. If you know this part of town, you know it's always packed with people and vehicles moving everywhere. Balaji Wire House is up at number 37. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes getting through the crowds to get to the shop, but that’s just how Chickpete is. We spend our days surrounded by rolls of wire and all sorts of electrical components. The shelves are pretty tall and packed to the ceiling because we try to keep everything on hand. It can get a bit dusty with all the movement, but we try to keep the shop in order. Most of our customers are electricians or builders who have been coming to us for a long time. They usually know exactly what they need, so we just grab it from the back and get them on their way. Sometimes we have to spend a while looking for a specific gauge of wire if the stock got moved around. It isn’t a fancy place with air conditioning or anything, just a regular shop where we do our business. We usually have a radio playing in the corner to keep us company while we work. Lunch is usually eaten quick between customers. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but we’re still here doing the same thing every day. It's a busy life, but we like it.
