B S Venkatesh

I've been here at 138 Gandhi Bazaar on Gedigate Road for a while now. Most people around here know me as B S Venkatesh. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when everyone is rushing around the market area. The place isn't anything fancy, just a spot where work gets done every single day. Some days are slower than others, but that’s just how it goes in this part of town. I usually open up early before the heat really sets in. You can hear the noise from the street all day long, cars honking and people shouting out prices for vegetables and clothes. It’s been my routine for years, and I’ve seen a lot of faces come and go on this road. Sometimes the rain makes things a bit messy out front, but we just clean it up and keep going. My neighbors are good people, and we all kind of look out for each other. I don’t spend much time worrying about how things look to outsiders. I just focus on the task at hand. If you’re walking down toward the gate, you’ll see the sign eventually. It’s nothing big, but it’s mine. I spend most of my time behind the desk or talking to folks who drop by to ask questions. It’s a simple life here on Gandhi Bazaar, and I wouldn't really know what else to do with myself if I wasn't here. I just keep showing up.
