The smell of B M T Food Products is something you notice way before you actually see the sign. We are located in Yeshwantpur Rajawadi, which is a busy area with a lot of markets and warehouses nearby. I spend my mornings lifting bags and making sure the packaging is done right. It’s a lot of manual work and my hands are usually a bit tired by the time I head home. The building isn't much to look at, just a sturdy place that keeps the rain out and the goods dry. We have a lot of people coming in to pick up orders, and the narrow roads around Rajawadi make it a challenge for the bigger trucks to park. I usually have to go out and help them navigate the turns so they don't hit the neighbor’s wall. Inside, it’s always a bit warm because of the machines and the sheer amount of stuff we have stacked up. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that, just a desk with a lot of papers and a phone that rings more than it should. Sometimes the humidity makes everything feel a bit heavy, but we just keep moving. It’s a food business, so cleanliness is the main thing I worry about, even if the walls look a bit old. It’s honest work and it keeps the neighborhood fed, which is enough for me at the end of the day.
