Our shop is at 15 New Tharagpet, tucked into Veer Avenue on R K Road. We’re on the 1st floor, right on the 2nd Main Rd. If you’ve ever walked through Tharagpet, you know how crowded it gets with all the shops and the people moving goods. It’s a real market atmosphere. We’ve been making and selling backpacks from this spot for quite some time. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit narrow, but we manage to get all the materials up and the finished bags down without too much trouble. It’s a noisy place with the sewing machines going and the street noise coming up from below. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a workshop where you can see the thread and the fabric everywhere. Azeem Bagpack started because we saw people needed something sturdy for their daily commute. We aren't trying to be a luxury brand. We just make bags that hold up to daily use. Most of our day is spent cutting patterns and making sure the zippers are put in right. It’s honest work. We know most of our neighbors in the building, and we all help each other out when the deliveries arrive. It’s just how things work here in the heart of the market. Sometimes it’s chaotic, but it is home to us.
