Azam General Store

We have been here in Nehru Puram for quite some time now. The shop is right at 5/1, just a short walk from Aks. Most people around Shivaji Nagar know us because they stop by when they need something quick for the kitchen or just a snack. We keep the usual things like rice, dal, different kinds of oils, and the basic soaps or detergents everyone uses daily. It’s a small place, so sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the evenings when people are coming back from work, but we try to get everyone what they need fast. There is no big sign or anything fancy, just the items stacked up on the shelves where we can find them. We open early in the morning and stay open until late evening because that’s when the neighbors usually remember they ran out of milk or bread. The Bangalore weather is usually okay, but when it rains, people huddle under our small roof for a bit. We don't really do anything special, just sell what is needed for the house. It’s a regular routine of checking stock and talking to the regulars who live in the nearby lanes. If you are passing through Nehru Puram and need a cold drink or maybe some batteries, you can find us easily enough near the Aks landmark. We keep it simple and just focus on having the stuff people ask for every day. It's nothing more than a local store.
