Ayyappa Tent House

We started Ayyappa Tent House on Banaswadi Main Road quite a while ago. If you live around Lingarajpuram or Kammanahalli, you probably saw our trucks moving around. We have all the usual stuff like metal chairs, tables, and the big green or white tents. It is not fancy, but it gets the job done for a wedding or a small puja at home. Sometimes the traffic on Kammanahalli Main Road makes it hard to get the poles delivered on time, but we try. Usually, it is just a couple of us handling the loading. The fabric for the shamianas gets dusty because of the road work nearby, so we spend a lot of time shaking them out. People just walk in and ask if we have enough seating for fifty people or maybe a hundred. We keep a ledger for the bookings. It's mostly just local families coming to us. The shop at Lingarajpuram 2338 is small, cluttered with pipes and folded curtains. We don't have a big website or anything. If someone needs a stage set up, we go there early in the morning. It’s heavy work, especially during the summer months when everyone has a function. We've seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. New buildings come up, but people still need a place to sit for their guests. We just keep doing what we know. The chairs are the stackable kind. Nothing much else to say. We are just here if you need some covers or a basic tent for the weekend.
