Avinash Metals

We are based over at 172/2 on Arcot Srinivasa Char Street in Chickpet. If you know this part of town, you know it’s where all the trade happens. We deal in metals, mostly raw materials and various parts that people need for construction or smaller projects. The shop is often filled with the sound of metal clanking and people shouting orders over the noise of the street. It’s a busy place. We don’t have fancy displays or air conditioning. It’s just stacks of metal and some heavy scales for weighing everything out. My brother and I run the place with a couple of helpers. We spend our days hauling stuff around and writing down orders in our ledgers. Chickpet is a maze, so sometimes people have a hard time finding the exact door, but once they find us, they usually keep coming back. We don't do anything flashy. It's just honest work, moving metal from one place to another. We've been at this address for quite a while now. The street is narrow, and the trucks have a hard time getting in, but we make it work somehow. It’s just the way things are in this part of the city. We keep the doors open six days a week and just get on with the work that needs doing. There is no shortage of heavy lifting to keep us busy all afternoon.
