Avasyam Edible Oil

You can find us at 5/63 on DVG Road, right in the heart of Basavanagudi. It’s a classic Bangalore neighborhood, and DVG Road is always packed with people shopping for their groceries or just out for a walk in the evening. We focus on edible oils, and our shop is pretty much dedicated to just that. We spend our days mostly handling the big tins and helping people fill up their own bottles from the stock. It’s a simple business, really. We don’t go in for big marketing or flashy displays to get people in. The shop is functional, with the oil drums lined up and enough space for people to stand while they wait for their turn. Sometimes the traffic outside gets so loud we have to shout a bit to be heard, but that’s just Basavanagudi for you. We start early in the morning, getting everything ready before the main shopping rush begins. There’s a lot of cleaning to do, as oil can get everywhere if you aren't careful with the pumps. We’re just a small team of people trying to keep things running smoothly for the folks who live around here. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but our shop stays pretty much the same. We just keep our heads down and focus on the daily grind, making sure the stock is full and the scales are balanced.
