Auto Comp

Auto Comp is on the second floor of the building at 165/1A. We are right on Sardar Patrappa Road, which connects over toward Salabatpura Road. It’s a very busy part of town, always lots of carts and bikes moving around. Being on the second floor means we have to carry everything up and down the stairs, which keeps us in shape, I guess. We deal with various auto components. The room is usually filled with boxes of different sizes. It’s not very organized, but we know where everything is. The windows look out over the street, so we see all the chaos below. It’s quite loud with the horns honking all day. We have a small staff and we mostly spend our time packing orders or talking to people on the phone. The walls haven't been painted in years and there are scuff marks everywhere from the boxes. It’s a real working office, not a showroom. We don't have a lobby or anything like that. If someone comes by, they just walk straight into the middle of the work. We usually have a radio playing somewhere in the background to help pass the time. It’s a bit cramped when we get a large shipment in, but we manage to stack things up. It’s just how we do things here on Sardar Patrappa Road. We keep a small fan running because the air doesn't move much. It’s a simple life, but it keeps us busy every day.
