Atul Roadlines

We are based at the highway service station in Chikkabiadarekal, number 3. It's right on Tumkur Road, not far from Jindhal. Being near the highway means it’s always loud and dusty. We deal with trucks and transport all day and night. Atul Roadlines is basically a small office where we coordinate where everything needs to go. It’s not a polished corporate environment. We have maps on the walls and a lot of logbooks that are getting a bit worn out. The phone rings a lot, and it’s usually someone asking where a truck is or when a load will arrive. We spend a lot of time talking to drivers and making sure they have what they need. Traffic on Tumkur Road can be a real headache, and we have to deal with it every single day. Sometimes things don't go according to plan, like a flat tire or an engine problem, and we have to scramble to fix it. We don't use any fancy logistics software. We just rely on what we know and the people we trust. We drink a lot of tea from the local stall to stay awake during the late shifts. It’s a tiring job, but it’s what we’ve been doing for years. We aren't trying to be the biggest transport company. We just want to make sure the goods get where they’re going. It’s a simple, messy, busy business that keeps us moving.
