About Athithi Cafe – Food & Beverages in Bengaluru
My family and I have been at No 712 on Ashram road for a while now. If you know the Hinkal area in Mysore, you probably know where the Vijayashree chicken centre is. We are right beside it, tucked into Vijayashree Farm. Running Athithi Cafe isn't fancy. It is mostly about getting the doors open early and making sure things are ready for whoever walks in. People come by for a quick bite or just to sit for a minute before heading back out to the main road. The weather here in Mysore can get a bit warm, so we try to keep the place comfortable. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. It is just us and a couple of helpers trying to get things right. Sometimes we run out of something or the chairs aren't perfectly straight, but that's just how a small place works. We've seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Ashram road gets busy, especially with people moving through Hinkal. We just stay focused on the kitchen. Most of our regulars are folks who live nearby or work around the farm area. It’s a simple setup. We don't do big advertisements. If you're passing by the chicken centre and see our sign, that is basically how people find us. We keep things pretty straightforward and don't try to be something we aren't. Just a local cafe doing its thing every day.
