Athena Lounge Restaurant

Our restaurant is Shop No. 322 inside Leela Galleria at No. 23 Airport Road. Being in Bangalore, the traffic nearby is always something to talk about. We are in the 560008 area. The mall environment is a bit different from a street-side shop. It’s more controlled, but the kitchen is still a hot, busy place. We spend our time prepping ingredients and making sure the lounge looks decent. Since we are on Airport Road, we get a lot of people who are just passing through or staying at the hotels nearby. It’s an interesting mix of customers. We aren't trying to be the most expensive place in the city. We just want to serve food and have a place where people can sit for a bit. The lounge has its own vibe, though it can get quite loud when it’s full. We do a lot of cleaning because people expect things to be tidy in a place like Leela Galleria. The staff here works long shifts. Sometimes we are here way past midnight. It’s just the nature of the restaurant business. We don't have a huge mission statement. We just cook and serve. The lights are usually dimmed a bit to make it comfortable. We’ve been here for a bit now, and we know the rhythms of the mall. It’s just our daily life, tucked away in shop 322. Every day brings a new set of faces through the mall doors.
