Astara Exports

We’ve been over here at 42 Gayathri Nagar for a while now, right on the 2nd Main Road in Ramachandrapuram. Most days start pretty early because that’s just how the export business works when you’re dealing with different clocks. You’ll usually see a few of us moving crates or checking over lists before the trucks show up. It isn’t a fancy setup, but the space works for what we need to get done. My desk is usually covered in papers and tracking numbers, which can get a bit messy during the busy weeks. The neighborhood is mostly quiet, though the road gets busy around noon. We handle a lot of the logistics ourselves because it’s easier than explaining it to someone else every time. Sometimes things get delayed at the port or there’s a hiccup with a shipment, but we just deal with it as it comes. It’s mostly about getting things from here to wherever they need to go across the water. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that, just a few people who know how to pack a container properly so nothing breaks. If you walk past the building, you’ll probably hear the tape guns going or someone talking on the phone trying to find a missing pallet. It’s hard work and the days are long, but we’ve managed to keep things moving from this little spot in Gayathri Nagar for quite some time now. We just do our thing and hope for clear weather.
