Asma Steel sits at 18-B on Oosman Khan Road. If you’ve ever been down to City Market, you know it’s a total maze of people and carts. Our shop is right in the thick of it. It’s a small place but we pack a lot into it. We have stacks of steel sections and pipes leaning against the walls, and sometimes they spill out a bit toward the street. It’s a noisy place to work because of the market sounds, but we’ve grown to like the energy of Oosman Khan Road. We’ve been here long enough that the neighbors all know us. We don’t have a website or any of that high-tech stuff; we mostly just talk to people face-to-face when they stop by. The floor is usually covered in a bit of metal dust, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it’s a working shop. We spend our days measuring out lengths of steel and helping customers figure out what they need for their small building projects. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans running high. It’s just a family-run kind of vibe where we work hard and go home tired. We aren't trying to be the biggest in the city, just a reliable spot where you can get your steel and go about your day.
