I started Asha Events because I've lived in Basavanagudi forever. We're on 3rd Cross, 1st Block, in house 345. It's just a small office really. My cousins help out sometimes when things get busy. We mostly do weddings and birthdays around here. It gets loud and crazy, but that's how it is. Sometimes we run out of coffee, or the printer jams right when we need a contract. People just drop by to talk about their parties. I try to keep things organized but sometimes the files pile up on the old wooden desk. We've been here for a while now. The neighborhood has changed, but we're still in the same spot. It’s not a big fancy agency. We just like seeing people happy at their parties. My neighbor's dog usually sits by our door in the afternoons. Sometimes we deal with difficult vendors, but mostly it’s fine. We know the local flower sellers and the tent guys. Last week we had three events on the same day and barely slept. That’s just life in this business I guess. If you’re walking past 3rd Cross, you’ll see our sign. It’s a bit faded from the sun. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how to get stuff done. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking lists twice. We try our best to stay on top of things. Most days are long but good.
