Aryas Food Corner

Down on MG Road, right in the middle of all that Bangalore traffic, you’ll find us on the ground floor of Mittal Tower. We are in the B Wing, so it can be a bit of a maze if you aren’t used to the building. It’s always noisy here with the cars honking outside and people rushing in and out of the offices above us. We are pretty much right across from the Ajantha Hotel, which helps people find us when they get lost. The space isn’t huge, but it works for what we do. Every morning starts with us lugging in supplies and getting the stove going before the sun gets too high. By lunch, the place is packed with folks from the towers looking for a quick bite. It gets pretty hot in the kitchen, and sometimes the fans don’t feel like they are doing much, but we keep moving. We spend a lot of time wiping down the counters and making sure we have enough change in the till. In the evenings, things slow down a little bit, but there is still a steady stream of people from the street. We don’t have fancy decorations or anything like that, just some tables and chairs that have seen better days. It’s a busy spot, and we are usually too tired by the end of the day to do much else but lock up and head home.
