Arsoji Rao Choultary Trust

Our place is situated at number 19 near Minerva Circle, which is a very well-known spot in the Basavanagudi area. Being on RV Road means there is almost always noise from the buses and cars going past. This building has been here for a long time and it feels like a part of the old neighborhood. We handle a lot of different things here, from small gatherings to more formal functions that families want to hold. The rooms aren't modern or filled with high-tech gadgets, but they serve the purpose for people who need a space that isn't too expensive. Most of the time, I’m busy checking the calendars or talking to people who walk in from the street to ask about availability. Maintenance takes up a lot of our day because an old building always needs something fixed, like a leaky tap or a fan that started making a clicking sound. The staff here has been around for years, so we all know how the routine goes. When there is a big event, the whole area around the trust gets really packed with people. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so many people coming in and out, it's a constant job. Basavanagudi has changed a lot over the years, but our spot near the circle stays pretty much the same. It’s just a simple choultary run by the trust to help the community with their events and meetings.
