Our place is situated at number 14 on Yediyur Transport Street, right along Old Madras Road. We are inside the AEJ Complex, which is a pretty busy spot because the KR Puram Railway Station is just right across the way. You can always hear the trains pulling in and the general chaos of people rushing to catch their rides. It’s a very active area for transport businesses like ours at Arc Parcel Services Pvt Ltd. The complex itself has seen better days, but it serves the purpose for what we do here with the parcels. Every morning, we unlock the shutters and start looking at the manifests for the day. There’s always a bit of a breeze coming off the main road, but it carries a lot of noise with it. Our office is tucked in there, filled with desks and a lot of old ledgers and computer screens. We don't really do much in the way of decorating; it’s mostly just files and stacks of paper. Moving things through this part of town can be a headache because of the traffic near the station, so we’re always watching the clock. The staff here mostly sticks to their tasks, getting the loading done and talking to the drivers who stop by. It’s a practical environment where the focus is just on the daily grind of moving goods from one point to another without too much fuss. Sometimes we grab tea from the stall downstairs when the station crowd thins out for a few minutes.
