Working out here at 143, C-4 in Bommasandra involves a lot of patience with the traffic on Hosur Road. Aquadiagnostics Water Research & Ttechnology Centre is a place where we look at water samples all day long. The industrial area is quite dusty, but inside the lab, we try to keep things as still and clean as we can. It’s full of glass tubes, beakers, and various machines that beep at you when they’re finished. We spend hours looking at charts and writing down results on clipboards. It isn't a fast-paced environment; you can’t rush the science part of it. We have a small group of researchers who are usually wearing white coats and looking very serious. The lunchroom is where we finally relax and talk about things that aren't related to chemicals or bacteria. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in so the equipment doesn't lose data. It’s a bit of a trek for those of us living in the city center, but the work is steady. We handle samples from all over, so there is always a box of bottles arriving at the front desk. It’s a lot of technical reading and manual testing. We don't have many visitors, just the occasional delivery driver or someone dropping off a sample for testing. It’s a quiet, focused kind of place where we just do our jobs and then head home.
