Aqssa Furnitures

Aqssa Furnitures is located at 21 Shivaji Nagar, right near the Bamboo Bazaar. Being so close to the bazaar is actually quite handy because that is where most of the wood comes from. Our shop is usually a bit of a mess with sawdust all over the floor and different pieces of wood leaning against the walls. We spend most of our days cutting, sanding, and putting things together. It is not a quiet place because there is always the sound of a saw or a hammer going. We make all sorts of things like basic chairs, sturdy tables, and cupboards for people’s homes. We do not have a fancy showroom with bright lights. Most people just walk in off the street when they see us working. Shivaji Nagar is a very busy area, so there is always a lot of noise and people moving past the door. Sometimes we have to work late into the evening to finish a piece for someone who needs it by the next day. The work is physically hard and my hands are usually quite rough from handling all that timber. We just try to make things that will last a long time. It is a simple business and we have been in this same spot for quite a while now. Neighbors often stop by just to say hello or ask for a small repair. We just get on with it.
