Our office is tucked away at 9 Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar, right on the first floor. Apricot Business Solutions isn't a massive operation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a few of us in a room with some decent desks and a lot of cables running across the floor. Being in RT Nagar is nice because there are good places to eat nearby, but parking can be a real headache for anyone visiting. We spend our mornings going through emails and setting up things for our clients. The walls are painted an off-white color and we have one plant in the corner that we keep forgetting to water. It’s a quiet environment for the most part, unless the printer starts acting up again. We handle a lot of the back-end stuff that businesses need but don’t want to do themselves. It involves a lot of spreadsheets and careful checking of numbers to make sure nothing is missing. We don’t really have a reception area, so when you walk in, you’re basically right in the middle of our workspace. It’s a very practical setup without any bells or whistles. We just come in, do the work, and head home when the sun goes down. It’s a simple way of working, focusing on getting the tasks done without any of the extra corporate drama you find in bigger places downtown.
