Annapoorneshwari Transports

We run this small transport business out of Jayanagar, at number 21. It’s a pretty straightforward operation. We have been here long enough that the neighbors know us by name. Most of our day is spent coordinating where the vehicles need to go and what they need to carry. It isn’t the kind of place with a fancy reception area. Usually, there are just a couple of us sitting around a wooden desk with a ledger and a couple of mobile phones that never stop ringing. We handle all sorts of loads, mostly for people and small shops around this area. Jayanagar is a nice place to work, even if the roads get a bit crowded during the rush hour. We don’t spend money on big ads. Word of mouth usually brings people to our door. If someone needs something moved, they just walk in and ask. We tell them what’s possible. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, like when the rain starts and we have to worry about the goods getting wet. We just try to be honest about the timing and the cost. There are no corporate speeches here. We are just regular people working in the transport line. It’s a lot of waiting for trucks to return and then sending them out again. We’ve kept the business going this way for years. Being at number 21 means we are right in the middle of everything. We see the same faces every morning. Our trucks are parked nearby and we spend time making sure they are in good shape. We don’t have fancy software; we just use our notebooks. It works well for a business of our size. We know every driver and customer by name. It makes the work feel personal. We handle boxes and larger loads for local shops. We just want to do a decent job so people come back.
