Ankit Roadways

The office is over at C-31 in Yeshwantpur, right near the Kanteerava Studio. It’s a bit of a strange address since it says Chandigarh too, but we are right here on the ground in the middle of all the noise. You can hear the trucks coming and going all day long. The studio is a good landmark because everyone knows where that is, so we tell people to look for the big gates and then turn. Inside, the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we spend most of our time looking at schedules and talking to drivers on the phone. There is always a smell of diesel and old paper in the air. We keep a big calendar on the wall with scribbles all over it. Some days are just constant phone calls and other days we sit around waiting for a delivery to show up. Ankit Roadways has been operating out of this spot for a while now. The desk has a coffee ring that won’t come off, no matter how much we scrub it. It's not a corporate headquarters, just a place where work gets done. We have some old chairs for when the drivers come in to hand over their logs. It’s a bit crowded when everyone is here at once, but we manage. If the weather is nice, we stand outside by the door for a bit just to catch some air.
