Running And Events here in Bangalore keeps us pretty busy throughout the year. The city is always moving, and there is always something going on in Karnataka state. We do not have a giant corporate headquarters with a lobby; we mostly work from where the action is happening at the time. Planning things out takes a lot of time on the phone and even more time stuck in the city traffic. It is not always glamorous like people think it is. There is a lot of carrying heavy boxes, checking schedules, and making sure the lights actually turn on when they are supposed to. We have had days where everything goes perfectly and days where we are scrambling at the last minute because someone forgot a single cable. That is just how it goes in this line of work. We try to keep a level head about it. Being based in Bangalore means we have to be quick on our feet. The weather can be unpredictable, so we always have a backup plan for when the rain starts out of nowhere in the afternoon. It is just a handful of us doing the heavy lifting. We do not spend much time writing fancy brochures. We would rather just get the chairs set up and the sound system tested properly. It is honest work, even if it gets a bit stressful during the peak wedding and festival season. We have been at this for a bit now and we know our way around the local venues.
