Anand Store

Our little shop is tucked away at 13th Cross, right in the middle of HSR Layout. It’s a bit of a maze with all the sectors and main roads, but once you find 24th Main, we aren’t far. I started this place at Vanganahalli because I lived nearby and saw there weren't many spots to get the daily essentials. It’s not a huge building. We have shelves packed pretty tight with everything from matches to big bags of flour. Sometimes it’s hard to find a place for the new stock that comes in on Tuesdays. I spend a lot of my time just reorganizing things so people can walk through the aisles. My nephew helps me out on the weekends when he isn't at school. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for the afternoon customers. The 1st Sector is quite busy, so we see a lot of different faces. We don't do any big advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here. If the light bulb outside is on, we are open. I try to keep the prices fair because I know how expensive things are getting. It’s a humble business. We just do our work, close the shutters at night, and come back the next day to do it all over again. It is what we know. The floor is a bit uneven, but it works for us.
