Anand Steel Traders

Anand Steel Traders has been around on Sadar Patrappa Road for quite a while now. We spend most of our days moving heavy metal rods and sheets from the back to the front of the shop. It gets dusty here on Chajju Majra Road, especially when the big trucks roll by to drop off new stock. People stop in because they need specific cuts of steel for building stuff or maybe just a repair at home. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that, just some chairs and a desk covered in paperwork. My hands are usually dirty by noon. We try to keep what people ask for in stock so they don't have to wait too long. Sometimes the delivery guys are late, and we just have to wait around drinking tea until they show up. It’s a straightforward business. We sell steel, we load it up, and that’s pretty much it. The traffic outside can be a real headache in the afternoons, but we are used to the noise by now. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but our little corner remains mostly the same. If you walk past the shop, you’ll likely hear the sound of metal clanging together or someone shouting out measurements. It’s hard work, and the sun gets hot on the metal, but we keep at it. We just do our thing here every day, making sure the orders are ready when someone comes to pick them up for their projects.
