Ambematha Provision Stores

We are located right in Peenya 2nd Stage. It’s an industrial sort of area, so it gets quite busy with all the workers and trucks moving around all day. Our store is small, just a basic provision shop where we keep the essentials. We’ve got bags of rice, lentils, oils, and the usual household things people need. Most of our customers are people who live or work right here in the 2nd Stage. They come in for a pack of cigarettes or some biscuits during their tea break. We open quite early, usually before the sun is fully up, to catch the early shift workers. The shelves are packed pretty tight from floor to ceiling. Sometimes things fall off if you aren't careful when reaching for the top row. I’ve been running Ambematha Provision Stores with my brother for a long time. We don't have a computerized billing system or anything. We just write it down in a thick ledger and give change from a wooden drawer. It’s a bit old-fashioned but it works for us. The fan overhead makes a lot of noise but it’s necessary in the heat. We know almost everyone who comes in by their first name. We don't do deliveries much unless it's for an old neighbor who can't walk over easily. It’s a simple life. We just keep the stock filled and make sure the floor is swept at the end of the night. There isn't much more to it than that.
