Amaravathi Essence Mart

Amaravathi Essence Mart is located at Shop No. 41 on A.S. Char Street. This is right off the B V K Iyengar Road, which everyone knows is one of the busiest spots you can find. Our shop is quite small, but it’s packed from floor to ceiling with all sorts of bottles and containers. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the mix of smells, everything from rose and sandalwood to vanilla and almond. It can be a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to it. The street outside is always a chaotic mess of people, carts, and vehicles, so our shop feels like a little escape from that, even if it is cramped. We have been here for a long time, and the wooden counters are worn smooth from years of people leaning on them. We don't have a computer system; we just know where every single bottle is kept by memory. My brother and I run the place, and we spend most of our day pouring small amounts of essences for customers who have been coming to us for decades. B V K Iyengar Road is always changing, with new shops opening and old ones closing, but we’ve managed to stay right here in the same spot. It’s a bit dusty and the lighting isn't the best, but it’s our little corner of the market and we’re used to the rhythm of the street.
