We are up on the third floor of the Shreshtabhumi Building here on Vanivilas Road. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes. Hira Nagar is a busy area, and we’ve been here at 87/1 for a while now. Dealing with metal isn't exactly quiet work. Most days are just us handling orders and making sure the inventory is where it should be. The office isn't anything special to look at, just desks and some samples of what we carry. We get a lot of people coming in from the local neighborhood looking for specific pieces. Sometimes it gets quite hot in the afternoon, especially being on the upper floor, but we just keep the fans going and get on with things. It’s mostly just a few of us here. We don’t have fancy uniforms or big signs. People usually find us because they know the building or someone told them we were here. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the stocks we have in. It’s straightforward work. We don’t really do much advertising because the word of mouth around this part of town seems to do enough for us. If you’re walking down Vanivilas Road, you might miss the entrance if you aren't looking for it. It’s just how it is. We like being in this part of Hira Nagar. It feels like home after all these years of working in the metal trade.
