We are based up on the 5th floor of Safina Towers, which is right near Vikram Hospital at number 3. Being in this part of town means it’s always busy outside. Looking out the windows, you can see the traffic and people moving around all day long. Here at Herman Miller Furniture India, we spend a lot of time thinking about how people sit and work. Our space is filled with different chairs and desks that we use ourselves. It’s not just a showroom, it’s where we actually do our administrative work and plan things out. The 5th floor gives us a bit of a break from the street noise, though you still hear the sirens from the hospital every now and then. Getting up here involves the lifts in Safina Towers, which can be a bit slow during the lunch hour when everyone is heading out. We have a small team handling the operations here. It’s a professional environment but we keep it pretty relaxed among ourselves. We don't have a lot of wall decorations or anything like that, just the furniture we deal with. Most days are spent on the phone or on the computer coordinating things across India. It’s a practical office for a practical business. We’ve been in this building for some time and the security guys at the gate know us well. It’s a solid place to work from and the location is easy for people to find once they know Safina Towers.
