Alfa Trading Company

We operate Alfa Trading Company from the Panchratna Cooperative Housing Society at number 72. Avenue Road is always packed, as anyone who lives here knows. It’s a squeeze to get through the crowds sometimes. We have a small unit where we handle the trading side of things. It’s mostly paperwork and phone calls throughout the day. We don't have a big display or a store window for people to look at. It’s just a room with some shelves and a couple of computers that are getting a bit old and slow. We trade various goods depending on what’s in demand at the time. It keeps us on our toes. The building is a bit older, so the elevator is sometimes out of service for repairs. We just take the stairs then. It’s good exercise, I guess. We have a lot of regular clients who have been with us for years. We don't do any big advertising campaigns. Word of mouth seems to work okay for us. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with all the boxes arriving at the same time, but we sort it out eventually. We usually have a bit of music playing to drown out the constant noise from the street below. It’s a humble setup. We just try to keep the books balanced and the customers satisfied with what they get. No fancy mission statements here, just day-to-day trading and hard work to keep things going well.
