Alcove Furniture

Alcove Furniture is based right in Koramangala, which is a great part of the city to be in. Our shop is usually filled with the smell of sawdust and wood finish, which we’ve grown to love over the years. We aren't a massive store where you get lost in the aisles. It is a smaller space where we keep the pieces we’ve been working on. We focus on making things that are solid and will actually last a long time in someone’s house. A lot of the furniture you see these days is made of cheap materials, but we prefer to stick to the traditional ways of doing things. We spend a lot of our day talking to people who come in looking for a specific kind of table or a wardrobe. We don't have a team of pushy salespeople. We just let people look around and answer their questions when they have them. Sometimes the workshop in the back gets a bit loud and messy, but that is where all the real work happens. We’ve been in Koramangala for quite a while and we’ve seen shops come and go, but we are still here doing our thing. It is a lot of hard work lifting heavy wood and sanding things down by hand, but we enjoy seeing the finished product. We don't do much advertising because most of our work comes from people who have bought from us before.
