You can find Akul Store over at 1205, B Cross in Yelahanka. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always noise from the street. We’ve got a small storefront that stays pretty packed with stuff. We don't have a lot of extra space, so we have to be careful how we stack things on the shelves. It’s mostly local folks from the apartments nearby who come in. We know a lot of them by their faces and what they usually buy. The shop doesn’t look like much from the outside, just a regular door and a window. We keep the hours pretty steady. I usually get here early to beat the worst of the traffic on B Cross. It’s a lot of standing around and helping people, which can be tiring on the legs by the end of the afternoon. We don’t have any big slogans or anything. We just sell what people need and try to keep the prices where they should be. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use flashlights for a bit, but that’s just life in the city. We’ve been in Yelahanka for a few years now. It’s changed a lot with all the new buildings and people, but our store stays pretty much the same. We like the routine of it. Opening up, seeing the regulars, and closing down for the night. It’s a good way to spend the day for us.
