Akshaya Fabricators

If you walk down Doddabommasandra Main Road near the Bel North Gate, you will hear us before you see us. Akshaya Fabricators is right across from Vyasa International School, and the sound of metal hitting metal usually fills the air all day. We have stacks of iron rods and sheets leaning against the walls, and the floor is always covered in tiny bits of steel and cooling oil. It is a mess, but we know where everything is. The school kids walk past every afternoon, and sometimes their parents stop by to ask about a gate or a window grill. We don't have a fancy showroom. It's just a shed with some heavy tools and a couple of welding machines that have been with us for years. My hands are usually stained with grease and my clothes have those little burn holes from the sparks. We spend most of the day measuring things twice and cutting them once, hopefully. It gets cramped when we have a big project taking up the middle of the floor, and we have to step over things just to reach the back. We don't use much technology here, just tape measures and some old-fashioned elbow grease. It is a simple life of making things that last, right here on a busy road where the traffic never seems to stop. We just keep our heads down and finish the welding before the day ends.
