If you look for us, we are tucked away in Lane No. 3 on Avenue Road. It’s inside Tapodham Parisar, which is a pretty crowded spot. The address is 41609. Getting a big truck down these lanes is always a bit of a challenge, but the drivers are used to it by now. The office is really just a room where we keep the paperwork and the phone. There’s always someone sitting there, usually drinking tea and looking at the manifest. It gets loud outside with all the other shops and people moving about. We’ve been in this part of town for a while. It’s not the kind of place where you’d find a lobby or a receptionist. You just walk in and talk to whoever is behind the wooden desk. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two in the afternoon, so we just sit outside and wait. The walls have a few old calendars on them. We handle a lot of boxes and crates every single day. Some days are much busier than others, and the floor ends up covered in packing tape and scraps of paper. It’s a bit messy, but it’s a working office. We know all the other shopkeepers around here. Tapodham Parisar is like a little community of its own. We just try to get the deliveries out on time without too much fuss. No one wears a suit here, just regular clothes.
