Adithya Paying Guest

Adithya Paying Guest is over at 249 Rajaji Nagar 2nd Cross, in the Cambridge Layout area. We are very close to the Navarang Theatre, so the guys staying here always have something to do on the weekends. We started this PG because we had some extra space and realized there were so many people coming to the city for work who needed a decent, affordable place to stay. It is a regular house, nothing like those big commercial hostels you see nowadays. We have a few rooms shared by two or three people. We provide basic meals, mostly South Indian stuff like rice, sambar, and idlis in the morning. We try to make it feel a bit like home, even though we know it’s not the same. The water can be a bit of a problem in this part of town during the peak of summer, but we have a tank that usually gets us through. We ask everyone to be quiet after ten at night so people can sleep, though sometimes the younger guys stay up talking. We spend a lot of our time cleaning and making sure the kitchen is stocked up. It is a lot of work to manage different personalities under one roof, but most of our guests are good people. We are just a local family running a small place for people to rest their heads.
