Abhinaya Condiments

If you go to Banashankari 1st Stage, near Manik Baug at 41336, you’ll find our little place. We sell condiments, which basically means all the stuff that makes food taste better. We have jars of pickles, bags of different powders, and snacks like murukku and chips. The smell when you walk in is quite strong because of all the spices. We don't use fancy packaging. Mostly it’s just clear bags so you can see what’s inside. We make a lot of it ourselves or get it from people we know who do it the old way. It’s not like a supermarket. You can ask for a small amount or a big bag. Many people in the neighborhood come here every week for their regular supplies. We know what they like. Some like their pickles very spicy, others want more oil. We have bins full of dried chilies and different types of salt. The shop is small and can get a bit cramped when three or four people are inside at once. We spend our mornings packing things and our evenings serving the crowd that comes after work. Banashankari is a place with a lot of families, so we see kids coming in for a quick snack too. We’ve been here at Manik Baug for years. It’s just simple food stuff, nothing modern or artificial. We like it that way. If we run out of something, we just wait for the next batch to be ready. It's honest food for daily meals.
