A N Steels

Our shop is located at 39 / 1 Bommanahalli, right near GoldHills Square in the Yashodham area. It’s a busy part of Goregaon East and we are usually right in the middle of all that noise. We handle a lot of steel here, mostly rods and structural stuff that builders need. The yard gets pretty cramped when a big delivery comes in, and we have to shuffle things around to make space. It’s mostly manual work, moving heavy metal under the sun. Some of the guys have been working here for years and they know exactly where every single piece is stored, even if it looks like a mess to someone else. We don't have a big office team or anything, just a few of us making sure the weight is right and the cuts are straight. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it’s quiet enough to hear the crows outside. We try to get things loaded onto the tempos as fast as we can so they don't block the narrow road outside. People stop by asking for specific gauges of wire or steel plates for their small projects. It’s a straightforward business and we don’t try to make it seem like more than it is. We’ve got a small desk with stacks of old ledgers and a fan that barely moves the air, but it’s home for us during the day. It’s just metal and hard work.
