A M Timbers

A M Timbers is located at No 75 Shivaji Nagar on the 13Th Cross, right in the middle of the Doddanna Industrial Area near Peenya. If you know this part of town, you know it is all about heavy industry and manufacturing. We deal with logs and cut timber, so our yard is usually stacked high with different types of wood waiting to be processed. The sound of the saws is pretty constant throughout the day, and everyone walks around with sawdust on their clothes. It is heavy work and can be quite dangerous if you aren't paying attention, so we try to keep things orderly even though it looks like a mess to an outsider. We get trucks coming in from all over to drop off raw wood, and then we have to sort through it all. Some pieces are good for furniture while others are only fit for crates or construction. We don't have a fancy office; it is just a small cabin with a couple of chairs and a lot of dusty ledgers. Dealing with the traffic around Peenya is probably the hardest part of the job. Trying to get a big flatbed truck through these narrow industrial roads is a nightmare every single time. But we have been at this location for a while and the locals know where to find us when they need a specific cut of wood. It is just plain, hard work in a noisy area.
