A J Timbers

A J Timbers is located at 331 JP Nagar. This area has changed a lot over the years, but we’ve stayed right here in our spot. If you come by, the first thing you’ll probably notice is the smell of cut wood and sawdust in the air. We keep a lot of different types of timber stacked up, and it takes up most of the space we have. The yard can get a bit disorganized when we have a big delivery coming in or out, but we generally know where everything is. We spend most of our time outside or in the open sheds, so we are pretty much at the mercy of the weather. When it rains, we have to scramble to make sure the wood stays dry under the tarps. It is hard work, moving heavy boards and loading up trucks, so we all stay pretty tired by the end of the day. We aren't big on formalities here. If someone comes in looking for a specific size of wood, we just go back and see what we can find in the stacks. Sometimes we have to dig a bit. The equipment we use is old but it still works fine for what we need. It’s a simple life at the timber yard. We don't have a website or anything like that; people usually just find us because they live in JP Nagar or someone told them where we were.
