A F Fabricators

Down at 35 Bommanahalli in the Choksi Bazar area is where we do our work. A F Fabricators is basically a workshop where we cut and join metal. It is hot and loud most of the time because of the welding and the grinding machines. The bazar is always crowded with people buying and selling all sorts of things so there’s a lot of energy around us. We aren't a big factory. We are just a small crew working with iron and steel. My hands are usually stained with soot and I have holes in my shirts from the sparks. That’s just part of the job. People bring us sketches of what they want and we try to make it happen. Sometimes it takes longer than we thought because the materials didn't arrive on time or the power cut out. We don’t have a fancy showroom. You just come to the back and see what we are working on. The floor is covered in scrap metal and tools. It’s a messy place but we know how to use everything here. Bommanahalli is a good spot for this kind of work because there are plenty of other shops nearby if we need a specific part. We don’t do any big advertising. If someone likes a gate or a frame we made they tell their neighbor and that’s how we get by. It’s just us and the metal.
