A E Battery Point is situated at 361 Rajajinagar 6th Block, right on Dr Rajkumar Road. If you know this road, you know how much traffic passes by every single minute. It’s a very busy stretch. Our shop is filled with batteries of all sizes, from small ones for cars to the big ones for home power backups. The smell of metal and plastic is always there when you walk in. We spend most of the day moving these heavy units around. Some are brand new and some are old ones that people bring in for charging or exchange. The floor is made of hard stone because it needs to take the weight. We have a small counter where we talk to people about what they need for their vehicles or their houses. Usually, our hands are a bit dirty from handling the terminals and cables. We don't have a lot of space for sitting down, so most of the work is done standing up or leaning over a battery to test it. There is a lot of noise from the main road, so we often have to shout a bit to be heard over the buses and horns. When things get a bit slow, we sit on the stools near the front and watch the traffic go by. We’ve been in Rajajinagar for a good while, so people around here know us. It’s practical work, making sure things have the power they need to start up.
