3G World is situated in Marathahalli on N Bharucha Marg, number 2. If you know Marathahalli, you know the traffic is always a nightmare, but we are tucked away just enough to have a bit of peace. The shop is small and usually has phones or gadgets spread across the counter. It’s a place where things are being taken apart or put back together. We have some shelves with various accessories and parts, but it’s mostly a working space. We don’t have fancy uniforms; we just wear what’s comfortable for a long day. Most of the time, the radio is playing in the background to keep things from being too quiet. People come in with cracked screens or things that won’t turn on, and we just see what we can do. It’s a lot of sitting under bright lights and looking at tiny screws. We take our breaks by the door to see who is passing by. The neighborhood has changed a lot with all the big buildings coming up, but our little spot stays pretty much the same. We don’t do big advertisements. People usually find us by word of mouth or because they were walking to the main road and saw our sign. It’s just a basic shop where we deal with tech stuff every day and try to keep things simple.
