3 D Precisions

Our workshop, 3 D Precisions, is out at 222 Kumbalagodu. It’s a bit further out from the main city center, which means we have a bit more space but also deal with some of the quirks of being in an expanding area. The building is a basic industrial unit where we handle precision machining. We have our machines set up in a way that makes sense for the workflow, even if it looks a bit cluttered to an outsider. There is always the sound of metal being worked on and the cooling fans running in the background. We don't have a big fancy sign out front, just the number 222 on the gate. The team here is small, just a few of us who know the equipment inside out. We spend a lot of time measuring and double-checking dimensions because that is the nature of the work. Sometimes the power flickers, which is just part of being in Kumbalagodu, so we have to plan around that. It's a hands-on environment. We don't wear suits or sit in meetings all day. Usually, we are in work clothes, probably with some grease on our hands. The road outside gets muddy when it rains, making deliveries a bit tricky. We just get on with the jobs we have for the week and try to keep the machines in good shape. It’s a quiet life out here compared to the city, and we prefer it that way. We just keep working.
